IMPORTANT! HOLIDAY AND TERM DATES
Parents might like to keep this list of holiday dates somewhere safe for reference. Although a maximum of ten days’ extra holiday can be granted by filling in holiday forms, parents should be aware that, by taking extra holidays, it can prove to be very disruptive to their children’s education. It is likely that vital lessons will be missed and it is often very hard to make up lost ground. Certainly, it is vital that parents should check examination dates before booking holidays in term time.
DOES ANYBODY REMEMBER SCHOOL VISITS TO RAVENSCAR?
In the early 1970s, St. Michael’s School owned Cliff House at Ravenscar and hundreds of our pupils went there on school visits. It is now a bed and breakfast house and its owners have contacted the school to ask if we have any special memories - they are compiling a history of the house. Mr. Curran will collate responses from parents who were once one of those Ravenscar pupils!
