General aim: To introduce the idea of the EU as a group of economically developed countries working together and to study Italy in depth as an example of an EU country.

ICT: Students can produce a PowerPoint presentation to introduce Italy. The internet can be used to gather up to date information about the EU.DTP packages can be used to design a menu - Qu. 3 page 77.
